Cyfatebol has a long standing experience of working with our client partners to fully respond to their editorial style, language register preferences and tone of voice. The editorial style will however always highlight the importance of readability and accessibility to the content by the designated target cohort. Subtitling Services
Members of our team have been providing subtitling services to S4C and many of the Production companies in Wales for over twenty three years. Our experienced team focus on using Cymraeg Clir (Clear Welsh) and on adopting the appropriate language register and terminology.
Audio-Visual Services
During 2018 we received the Silver Award from the Geographical Association for developing a series of six film and audio programmes for Enquiry and Fieldwork Skills in Geography. On the international stage we won an international award in New York with RNIB for an audio book of one of David Walliams’s titles in Welsh.
Digital & Design Services
Atebol also has a dedicated full-time design team and a web and digital team who work in tandem with the translation team. This allows us to provide a comprehensive ‘one-stop’ service for our clients. We are able to manage documents in a host of different formats including Microsoft Office, HTML, XLIFF, XML, JS, JSON, YAML, and others. We use both PC and Apple Mac hardware and use QuarkXPress, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro and other design software. Many of our clients entrust us with direct access to their database and CMS, along with their social networks so that we’re able to accurately input translated text on their behalf. We regularly use Silverstripe, Magento, Joomla and WordPress v3.x and 4.x and have the ability to work with any type of CMS system required by the client.

Staff members are able to translate text reflecting the needs of the target audience, using clear standardised Welsh and an appropriate language register, verbiage, syntax and use standardised and accredited terminology.
